Brewing Guide

Proper brewing enhances the flavor of Gunpowder Tea 9501:

  1. Water Temperature: 70–80°C (158–176°F). Avoid boiling water, which can scorch the leaves and create bitterness.
  2. Tea-to-Water Ratio: 1 teaspoon per 150ml (5.07 oz) of water.
  3. Steeping Time: 1 minute for first infusion; 1–2 minutes for subsequent infusions. The leaves can be steeped 3–4 times.
  4. Pre-warm Vessels: Rinse your teapot or cup with hot water before brewing to maintain optimal temperature.
  5. Pro Tip for Moroccan Tea: Simmer the tea leaves with water for 3–5 minutes before adding generous amounts of fresh mint and sugar to taste.
